Youth for Peace
Building Bridges, Creating Peace.
Youth for Peace and Dialogue Between Cultures was founded in 2005 by Zakaria El Hamel to foster understanding and respect among young people from different religions and backgrounds. We believe in the power of dialogue and cooperation to create positive change in communities around the world. Our mission is to bring young people together to serve their communities and promote peace, equality, and justice for all.
Our Values
Our organization is built on a foundation of respect, empathy, and inclusivity. We believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their background or beliefs. Our programs and initiatives are designed to promote these values and help create a more just and peaceful world.

4.“I encourage young advocates to stand up for peace and human rights in this turbulent Arabic world. There is much to be done in the global fight for human rights, and youth participation is critically important to achieving sustainable development and positive social change.”

8.“Where, after all, do universal human rights begin? In small places, close to home – so close and so small that they cannot be seen on any maps of the world. Yet they are the world of the individual person; the neighbourhood he lives in; the school or college he attends; the factory, farm or office where he works. Such are the places where every man, woman and child seeks equal justice, equal opportunity, equal dignity without discrimination. Unless these rights have meaning there, they have little meaning anywhere. Without concerned citizen action to uphold them close to home, we shall look in vain for progress in the larger world.”
-Eleanor Roosevelt, “Where do universal human rights begin?”, statement on 27 March 1958 at the presentation of the book “In your hands: a guide for community action” to the UN Commission on Human Rights; sometimes called “The Great Question” speech.
- “Get up, stand up, Stand up for your rights. Get up, stand up, Don’t give up the fight.”
Bob Marley, Jamaican singer
10“The rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened.” – John F. Kennedy
11“Local activists are changing the power dynamics in their communities—that’s what creates change over time.”
Regan Ralph, Founding President and Former CEO of the Fund for Global Human Rights.
