In Solidarity with the Iranian People
Youth for Peace and Dialogue Between Cultures Morocco unequivocally condemns the ongoing violence and intensifying repression perpetrated by the authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran against peaceful nationwide protests.
We affirm that the Iranian people’s aspirations for freedom, dignity, and justice are not only legitimate they are universal. These protests must not be dismissed as isolated disturbances or narrowly framed as economic discontent. They are a courageous, collective uprising for fundamental human rights, accountability, and an end to decades of systemic oppression.
After nearly fifty years of authoritarian rule, the people of Iran especially women and youth are rising with extraordinary bravery. Despite grave risks to their lives and liberties, they are demanding a future rooted in liberty, equality, and human dignity. Their voices echo the timeless and borderless call for justice.
As a youth-led organization devoted to peacebuilding, intercultural dialogue, and the defense of human rights, we stand in unwavering solidarity with the Iranian people. We honor the courage of civil society actors, human rights defenders, and legal advocates who continue to speak truth to power in the face of brutal repression.
We call upon the international community, youth movements, and peace organizations around the world to act with moral clarity. We urge them to support accountability for human rights violations, to amplify the voices of the oppressed, and to stand firmly on the side of justice, nonviolence, and human dignity.
Peace is inseparable from freedom. Dialogue cannot flourish where repression reigns.
The voices of the Iranian people must be heard, protected, and respected.
