The Youth for Peace and Intercultural Dialogue Association warmly welcomes the Kingdom of Morocco’s decision, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to accept the invitation to join the International Peace Council as a founding member. This significant development, officially announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, reaffirms Morocco’s long-standing commitment to the promotion of peace, dialogue, and international cooperation.
We commend the establishment of this forward-looking international platform, which seeks to offer practical and inclusive solutions to contemporary challenges related to conflict prevention, peacebuilding, stability, and shared prosperity. The initiative builds upon the framework endorsed by the United Nations Security Council in November 2025, reflecting a collective global aspiration for a more secure and peaceful world.
Morocco’s participation in the International Peace Council further demonstrates the high level of international confidence in the leadership and moral authority of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, particularly in his capacity as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee. The Kingdom’s principled and consistent position in support of a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace in the Middle East remains unwavering, including the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian State on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, living side by side in peace and security with Israel.
As a youth-led civil society organization committed to human rights, peace, and intercultural dialogue, we reaffirm our dedication to contributing constructively to this global momentum by:
Promoting a culture of peace through education, awareness-raising, and advocacy;
Encouraging interfaith and intercultural dialogue grounded in mutual respect and shared human values;
Empowering young people to play an active role in peacebuilding, diplomacy, and international cooperation.
This historic engagement serves as a source of inspiration for our continued efforts to bring together diverse voices and perspectives in pursuit of sustainable peace, human dignity, and collective security.
